So hey! You guys may know about that one tattoo I have cause I talk about it a lot.

Here’s a more recent picture of it:

unnamed (1)

It’s no longer bumpy, in fact I can’t even feel it when I put my hand on in. It’s fully healed! Which brings me to my next point. I now want that full mandala tattoo I was originally planning.

I emailed back Angie, and told her I was keen to return. I saw a recent drawing she had done on Instagram, of a floral mandala:

So pretty!!

I don’t really want the rose, as I’m not too keen on roses, but I loved all the delicate leaf details, and the twist from a stand-alone mandala! So I went in last Tuesday after work for a consultation. Angie says she loves to come up with custom drawings, so she would work on an original mandala pattern for me. I promised to email through the styles I liked. She also talked about putting the mandala in the middle part of my upper arm, and having the leaves coming out above and under, but curving with my arm, so it would look like it was moving as I moved. I couldn’t really picture that but it sounds cool! So now I’m really excited. The appointment date is set for Sat 1st July. The reason it’s quite far is because we had to book in 4 hours (cause this is a larger tattoo) so also it’s going to cost a lot more, and I gotta save up specifically for it. I don’t think it’ll really take 4 hours, but more time is better just in case. My lotus was meant to take 2 hours, but really it was only around 30 minutes, so I’m feeling good.

Anyway! This all led me back down the Pinterest hole of looking at tattoos, both mandalas and everything else. So from here on out, let’s look at more tattoos and possible future tattoo ideas for me (or you guys)!

So yeah, this is only a small portion of the tattoos I was looking through on Pinterest, as well as Google Images. There’s so much out there, and theyΒ look so amazing!

I do get excited about tattoos, but I do also exercise a lot of restraint, as they cost money, and I want to be sure that I want that image permanently inked on my skin. I mean, there is laser removal, but I wouldn’t go through with a tattoo unless I was 100% on it. I’m so excited for July now, to see what Angie comes up with πŸ˜€

However, I am also already considering a third tattoo, so I may have a problem. I like the look of those delicate ones, or maybe a music related one, as it is another passion of mine πŸ˜€

Any tattoos you guys liked the look of in particular?

Angela.

  1. Oh man, you are full steam ahead with the tattoos! πŸ™‚ I love the look of the little birds. If I was still wanting more, I would love something little and sweet like that…

    1. Haha, I have fallen in love with them!
I do like the idea of a teeny one, like the birds. They’re so sweet πŸ™‚

  2. This post just made me want another tattoo!! Haha. I have one on my ribs and love it.

    1. Haha XD
There’s so many amazing designs out there! What’s your tattoo of, if you don’t mind me asking? πŸ™‚

      1. Of course!! To preface it, I was a swimmer in college and there were 6 of us in our class so we all got the same one senior year! It is the infinity symbol, with 6 small stars in one side (for each one of us) and a swimmer in the other side 😊

        1. Aww, that’s really sweet!! πŸ˜€

  3. I love the mandalas and elephant! I like the foot area too below the ankle! Sounds really painful but worth it πŸ™‚

    1. Mandalas are so pretty! I really like the placement of those two sun mandalas on the foot. It does seem painful, but they look so gorgeous together πŸ˜€

  4. Oh and I love this post idea haha!

    1. Thanks Jordyn! I was spending so much time looking at all these, that I figured why not share it on the blog? πŸ˜€

  5. I love the first Mandela on the two ankles. the sunflower and the two birds.

    1. That first one is stunning! I really like the idea of a small one on the foot, and the delicate birds one is such a sweet idea πŸ˜€

      1. it is! I have always wanted a tattoo but I always chicken out.

  6. There are so many amazing tattoos but I don’t think I will ever get one πŸ˜‰ great post though, xx

    1. Haha, fair enough Anni! It’s definitely a preference thing πŸ™‚

  7. I love your tattoo!! I’m currently obsessed with floral and mandala tattoos but I’m thinking of getting an origami cat this summer to add to my collection of one! It’s been nearly 3 years since I got it so it’s about time! xxx

    1. Thanks Ella! I’ve always loved the look of floral and mandala tattoos. An origami cat sounds amazing! 3 years is a good long time to decide on getting another tattoo πŸ™‚ I don’t think I can be that patient now I’ve realized how much I love them XD

      1. I thought I’d get a second one right away, but I turned out to be way more cautious than I’d expected. It took going to Thailand, and wanting a bamboo method one done so badly that I decided in 10 minutes what had took me years to decide. Crazy enough, after I got it, I realized how perfectly it went along with my first, from placement and everything. So it worked out in the end. I like sweet little tattoos and the daisy on the ankle was cute, so was the floral wreath on the elbow. You’ll be finding hundreds that you like!

        1. That’s awesome that your tattoos complement each other well!
I always knew I wanted a mandala, I just decided to get the small lotus one to test the waters, so to speak. After these two, I have no idea what I’d want. There’s so many ideas I like (Hence this post) but I really don’t want to be impulsive πŸ™‚

          1. I think you’ll follow your heart.

  8. I’m so excited to see your new tattoo when it’s done!!! I loved the back shoulder blade one so much 😍😍😍 and the Harry Potter ones!

    1. I love that back one, how the flowers curve! I would love to get one on my back one day.
And aren’t the HP ones so adorable!!

      1. Hahahaha I kinda reallllllly like it! It looks so beautiful! The HP ones are too cute. I was telling a friend of a tattoo idea I have and she suggested I get the HP books tattooed on instead. She’s a hoot. Those HP ones are a much better idea πŸ™‚

  9. I love the elephant and panda. So cute! Also the sunflower! All of them are so pretty. πŸ’“

    1. A lot of the smaller tattoos are so adorable and gorgeous πŸ˜€

  10. I love the little birds and the panda. <3

  11. They all look great! Hard decision to make 😊

    1. They are all amazing! I know for sure I want a mandala, but there’s so many other great designs out there too πŸ™‚

      1. Haha! Yes! 😊

  12. Your tattoo looks so good now! And I love the last mandala one that’s on the lady’s bicep. It’s so pretty. I can’t wait to get another tattoo, I love tattoos!

    Pearl || thepearlylife.wordpress.com

    1. Thanks Pearl! I love mandalas! I think I’ll get mine on my outer arm, but there’s so many gorgeous ideas and placements you can do πŸ˜€

  13. I loooove the lilac one! and those tiny birds. The problem with tattoos is that they tend to blur during years, which can destroy those delicate ones. That’s why I stopped considering my second tattoo. It’s lovely and I really wish for another one, but… you know, if only it stayed the way it was inked. And if another tattoo, then it must be something very fine for me.
Those mandalas look really good, much better than those being made where I live!

    1. Yeah, I know I’d need to go back for touchups every couple of years, they do start to blur and fade. Especially for smaller ones. Those mandalas do look amazing though!

  14. Looks like you have a good taste in tattoos, I like them all 😊

    1. Haha, thanks Emma! There’s so many amazing designs out there!

  15. This was a really cool post idea. I’m not really into tattoos and I don’t think I’ll ever get one. Though I’ve had the thought before. But I do want to look through some on Pinterest now! Lol

    1. Tattoos are definitely a personal preference, I have always loved looking at the different kinds that are out there though! Then eventually I decided I wanted a mandala XD
There’s so many amazing and cute ideas out there, especially on Pinterest!

  16. Ohmygodddd these are so beautiful what the heck aha goals

    1. Right?! There’s so many gorgeous ideas that can be used for tattoos!

      1. Truuuue their permanence just freaks me out a little aha

        1. Hahaha, fair enough XD

  17. I love the tiny delicate tattoo idea. I have several ideas for tattoos, some of them crazy and wild and some of them small and barely there! I keep asking my mom to sign off on me to get one and she keeps telling me no. She doesn’t like tattoos, so I guess I’ll have to wait until I’m legal!

    1. There’s so many great ideas for tattoos! I don’t think my mum would like that I have a tattoo, I’m still trying to figure out how to tell her (lol), and I’m 25 XD In a few years you can get it! Wait, would you have to wait till you’re 18 or 21 till you can get a tattoo without parental consent?

      1. In California, you have to be 18!

        1. Sweet! So not too long then πŸ™‚

  18. There are so many pretty tattoos, I really like the turtle mandala and the floral one on her back in the photo. The one with the birds is pretty too and such a simple and delicate design. I love the look of watercolour style tattoos, no idea why as I tend to prefer black and white ones but the colours in some of them are so pretty. I really like tattoos but I don’t know if I’d ever get one, simply because the styles I like seem to change from year to year and I just couldn’t pick one!

    1. Thanks for reading and commenting! There is so many amazing tattoo ideas out there, I really liked them for years, before finally committing to one πŸ˜€
Tattoos are totally a personal thing and it depends on what you really like, but if you’re indecisive like me, it may take you yeeeears before you finally really commit to one XD

      1. Hehe, I think it might take me a while to get one if I do. And there seem to be a bigger range of styles or inks recently, at least that I’ve seen, so it’ll be interesting to see where they go in the future as it’s becoming more mainstream and more people are getting them.

  19. Hey guess what I have a tattoo board on Pinterest too and the pictures are just too many πŸ˜‚ loved your choices

    1. Awesome! There’s just so many amazing ideas out there XD
