Edgar Wright

I don’t pay attention to directors too much, but as I’ve said, I’m a fan of the Cornetto trilogy, and all three were directed by Edgar Wright.

I then found out he directed lots of other films I like.

Edgar Wright Movies

He has a very particular style in his films, lots of fast edits, music, and visual storytelling. It’s hard to explain, but if you know his movies then you’ll know what I’m talking about.

In fact, this video talks about it well.

Have you guys seen Edgar Wright’s films?

Who’s your favourite director?

Angela.

  1. I had no idea who he was, but you’re right – he’s directed heaps of movies, and I’m a fan of most of them!

    1. It’s funny how unaware we are of directors at times 😄

  2. I have never heard of him before but I will have to check out some of these movies! Thanks for sharing- I love expanding my movie pallete haha.

    1. He’s got a certain style in his movies that I just love! I totally recommend checking him out 😄

      1. Ok! Will do!

  3. So apparently I’m a huge fan of him too, what an awesome collection of films to have under your belt, not a bad one in sight!

    1. He did make so many movies that I”m a fan of as well!! It’s funny how I didn’t learn about that till recently 😀

    2. Exactly!! He’s had such a good run 🙂

  4. I researched him after watching Ant-man and yes, his fast visual storytelling style is so unique, almost reminds me of watching the Sherlock Holmes series as they have that similar visual storytelling styles.

    1. He does have a recognisable style! I’m glad you like his visual storytelling too! 🙂

  5. I have watched just the one film from your list above. The Adventures of Tintin. I am not sure I have watched films directed by Wright but maybe I have and did not end up making a note of them because I guzzle films and forget directors. But a few of my all-time favourites include Alfred Hitchcock, Satyajit Ray, David Lean, Guy Ritchie,…I am sure I am forgetting so many! xx

    1. I’m the same when it comes to films and directors. They’re so easliy forgotten as we dont see their faces as often 😆

      1. Oh yeah. I just remember a few because of their sensibilities. Like I do not like Woody Allen but I love the way he captures the essence of the places he takes you to through his films.
