Namaste Collective

Hey guys! So I bought temporary henna tattoos from Namaste Collective a long time ago (last September actually), and I just came across them. I totally forgot about them! I love their products though, so I consider myself an Avid fan of their work. I really suggest you check them out!

I found them through Amanda Faye, a YouTuber I follow, who has the cutest daughter (Luna), and lovely husband (Matthias, another YouTuber). Her Instagram is here and she also has an Etsy shop I believe, but whenever I try go there everything is already sold out! They also have a joint channel called Matt & Amanda (formerly Nerds in Love), which I have been following for years. They are one of my favourite YouTube couples (just behind Felix & Marzia, and Jenna & Julien).

Anyway, she talked about Namaste Collective who are an Australian company who make and sell henna tattoos, as well as a few other products. This was my first little foray into the tattoo world, and they also led me to look into mandala designs. I needed to spend $55 to get the free shipping as well, so I bought three packs of the temporary henna kits. Two in brown, and one in white. They also sent me a free henna kit on top of that !

The following images are from their site, cause mine are all used up!

They come with a whole sheet of different patterns. They come with a few matching designs for your hands/wrist/arm. A few large ones that are suitable for your back, chest or thigh. Some medium designs, that can be used for legs/arms/back. As well a ton of small ones that you can combine with others or put anywhere!

The cool thing about these temporary tattoos are how easy they are to get on and they last for around 2-5 days, depending on how well you care for them and the position. If you put it somewhere more exposed, like your hands, or feet they don’t last as long I’ve found. But the ones I put on my leg, back and arms lasted for a full 5 days before they started slowly coming off. Basically after the length of days, you can rub it off with baby oil or something similar, or just start scratching bits and pieces off like I did XD

Now for the process of putting them on, I cut out the one I wanted and decided where to put it (sometimes I asked for Rory’s help, like for the one I put on my back). Then you peel off the sticker and place it on, covering it with a wet flannel for 15-30 seconds. The bigger the design, the longer you should keep it on. The smaller ones take only a few seconds. Then gently peel off the paper, and your design should be on your skin. If it’s not, then just gently put it back on and press the damp flannel on for a bit longer.

I did this many times since I bought it, that now it’s run out. It did set off my love for tattoos again, which is why I  eventually got my real one a week ago!! I do wish I took more photos of them all though..ah well. Next time!

If you want to know more about their products, I’ve copied a little tidbit from their website:

We have put our heart and soul into everything we offer in our store. We are a small business with just a few young individuals trying to make a difference

The henna kit was tested and altered for months on end before being released for everyone’s enjoyment. We strived to find the safest, most pure henna in the world, and also the henna that would be easiest to use. We have designed the henna kit so that whether you are a complete beginner to art, or an experienced henna artist, it will be the kit for you. We are also currently designing other products which will be unique and of course ethically manufactured – stay tuned!

And of course, we never test on animals, or engage in any unethical practises through our manufacturing or suppliers. In fact, we will always go the long way to help those in need through our purchasing and manufacturing – it is these little things that count!

By the way, this may seem like a sponsored post, but it’s not, I just really loved their product! I haven’t yet touched the henna kit, because I’m terrified XD I may give it a go one day, but I’m so worried I’m going to mess it up.

So if you’re interested, I’ll leave their links below. Definitely get their products if you’re interested. The designs are so lovely, and they’re all 100% vegan and organic, so even with sensitive skin you shouldn’t have any problems.

  1. Oh that looks wonderful 🙂 How long do they stay on?

    1. They do look amazing. They stay on for 3-5 days depending on placement. For example, the ones on my feet lasted three days cause I wear shoes and they cause friction. But the ones on my arm and leg lasted 5 days 😄😄

      1. Thanks for letting me know. I was hoping they’d last longer than the actual henna cone. Oh well 🙂

  2. The white ones are very distinctive and pretty!

    1. The white ones were quite distinctive against the skin 😄
I’m glad I tried both colours

  3. Henna is awesome! You should try to do them yourself using a henna cone..they are always beautiful!

    1. I may give it a go one day, I’m just worried I’ll mess it up XD

  4. Wow. They are so beautiful. 🙂

  5. I want one 😊👍🏼

    1. They’re so cool! I definitely recommend them 😄

  6. The white ones look really cool. I had a henna tatoo done once and it lasted for about 2 weeks. The second one was a real tatoo already 🙂

    1. Oh cool. I’m interested in real henna, but im worried about doing it on my own and messing it up. I really like these temporary ones though 😄😄

      1. I met a guy to do it for me, once you have the chance, you’ll love it. Doing it myself I’d have looked like a 5 year old 😀

  7. So cute! I am in love with flash tattoos, perfect for the sunny days! 😍

    1. They’re so much fun 😄

      1. Aww absolutely x

    1. The white ones are definitely a unique look ☺

    1. Thanks Daniela! They’re all such lovely little designs. You can’t go wrong with what you pick 😀

  8. Henna is a mainstay during weddings in India and women sit for hours letting the henna dry. The deeper the colour of the henna, the deeper shall be the love your husband will shower upon you. People make up a lot of random stuff for the sake of romanticising things, right (I fell for it too)? I would rather tack on some of these pretty babies 😉

    1. I love how each culture has it’s own traditions when it comes to weddings. They do have lots of meanings, and I think sometimes they are a little exaggerated, but its all part of the fun 😀
These temporary ones are so much easier though XD And the patterns are already made so you get to just pick and choose 😀

      1. The cynic in me calls out some of the logic thrust behind those traditions. Sometimes it is fun to go through the rigours of it, but at other times one cannot be bothered. Readymade patterns for those times 😉

  9. Wow look so good on you!! Lovely post!

    1. Thank you! 😀

  10. I love henna! I have often got it done! And when I was a younger used to do it for myself 😄 These look so effortless and beautiful!
