If We Were Having Coffee (September Edition)

Hey all, we’re back to the coffee again! Nothing really happened this weekend, so I wanted to do a little catch up post on life lately. I feel like I’m doing a lot of mini updates recently, but I always find them fun!

If we were having coffee, I’d say I’ve been a bit lax about interacting in the blogging community. I’ve been starting to get into the swing of writing posts again, but I haven’t been great at keeping up with reading everyone’s posts. I try to read every now and then, but if you haven’t heard from me lately, I’m trying to get better at it! I do honestly love reading what everyone is up to. Sometimes all I have time for is to show my support with a like, but I want to get back to commenting lots too. I love being a part of this blogging community!

If we were having coffee, I’d bring up the change of seasons. Spring is really starting to take hold, which I guess means, all my American and European friends are entering Fall. Spring and fall are two of the best seasons in my opinion. Nature changes the most during this time, before it settles into being too hot or too cold. It’s always just a lovely time of year, whichever one you’re in! For us, we’re getting lots of blossoming trees and flowers, warmer sun, and longer days.

If we were having coffee, I would talk about how I’m gaining more confidence in driving! It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve finally started driving around on my own. It’s nice to be able to take myself places, instead of always relying on Rory driving me, or taking public transport. I will say though that my parking skills still need a bit of work (especially parallel parking, yikes), but I’m getting more and more comfortable with being behind on the wheel.

If we were having coffee, I’d ask what’s been going on with you guys lately.

Angela.

  1. Girl we are on the same wave length! I just posted one of these today also! Great Minds!😊 so happy you are getting that warmer weather! Don’t beat yourself up to much! You have so much on your plate! Yay for gaining confidence in driving! That is awesome! I am so happy for you! I hope you have an amazing week!πŸ’—

    1. Haha, great minds do think alike πŸ˜„ thank you so much Kate!! I hope things are going great for you as well ❀

  2. Really good post to read! I’m the same with the first point, I have my schedule of writing and uploading posts but with school I don’t have much time to catch up on everyone else’s posts❀️

    1. I’m glad you can relate! I do miss reading everyone’s posts, but with everything else there’s just not enough time πŸ˜₯

  3. I wish that it was spring here πŸ™ The trees in front of my house all seemed to change color and drop all their leaves in a few days, now there’s snow on the ground. We had practically one week of Fall only, and it all happened before September 21!
Congrats on being more comfortable behind the wheel! Driving can be so stressful, and I’ll be honest I’ve had my license for about 10 years and I STILL can’t parallel park to save my life lol!

    1. Oh no! Fall is such a nice buffer season before winter, that sucks that it didn’t last long for you!
Haha, I dont think I will ever get the hang of parallel parks either, I’m always looking for a carpark building instead πŸ˜‚

  4. Hi, beautiful!! Okay- so that is so crazy you are entering spring?! I forget that Australia and NZ have totally different seasons then we do. Blows my mind! Also- congrats on the driving! every day will bring more confidence πŸ™‚ Also – no worries on commenting on everyone’s posts— we all go through seasons like that. Sometimes even when I have the time I lack the motivation too- but then others, I can’t get enough of blogging- it’s human nature ! Have a great week girl, and a great start to spring!

    1. Hi Mackenzie! Haha, it’s always funny to think about what season the other side of the world is going through!
I agree too. Some days I love going through and catching up on everyone’s posts, other times I dont have the energy!
Thanks for the support, and I hope you have a great week too! πŸ˜„

  5. You didn’t mention which drink you’d have πŸ˜› glad to hear you’re getting more confident at driving and you’re enjoying the spring weather too πŸ™‚ don’t feel guilty for taking time away from blogging or not reading posts everyday, life happens haha!

    1. Oh right I didn’t πŸ˜‚ I’ve slowly been having coffee again, now that it doesn’t make me nauseous anymore lol. I still cant figure out how i used to have time to blog everyday and keep up with reading everyone’s posts πŸ˜‚

  6. Angela, I’ve been avoiding the responsibility of writing blog posts for a while, so I can totally get you on that. Wish I could network with other bloggers like before, but I will try to do it more often now ^^

    1. Haha, it’s definitely a feeling that’s been going around lately! Especially for those of us who have been blogging for a while now it seems. Maybe we’re all just feeling a little burnt out. I’m definitely wanting to try more too though πŸ€—

  7. Aww I know the feeling about driving! It was only since I got my own car that I properly started to feel confident in my driving. Parallel parking is a pain though, but I’m starting to get pretty good at it now! And reverse bay parking! πŸ™‚ You’ll get there the more you practice πŸ™‚

I love your cherry blossom photos, it’s so pretty. It reminds me of Cherry Tree Avenue which we have at work (yes the roads in the zoo have names), we’re definitely entering autumn now. It’s getting cold and the trees are turning and the heating has gone back on!

    1. It is definitely a great feeling to realize that you’re a lot more comfortable with driving! I definitely still need more practice with parking though haha!
Cherry blossoms are so pretty! Haha, that’s cute that the zoo roads have names, makes sense really πŸ˜„ Autumn is a good season too though. It’s a nice welcome to the cold before freezing winter kicks in πŸ˜‚

  8. Firstly – I love your make it happen mug <3 Also I feel you, I've been struggling to keep up with reading and supporting others as well as getting back into my own blogging!!! I feel like that is a constant battle – never enough time or energy! But I'm making a start again too πŸ™‚ And yay to autumn – I can't wait for it to fully settle in here in the UK πŸ™‚ <3 xo

    1. Haha, I’m glad you can relate! It does feel like a constant struggle at times, and I’m still finding myself falling behind. I’m starting to catch up though! Fall is definitely a wonderful season, I hope you guys enjoy it πŸ˜„

  9. I would be such a dud at parallel parking. I know this with certainty (without even having tried it). The last time I drove was in 2003, before I left for further studies. Imagine the havoc I would wreak behind the wheel. But I am planning to brush up those skills and get a license here. Would be some work!
I am sure you will soon be a pro at parallel parking, girl. A big yay for spring and for autumn too. These transitional seasons are the best. xx

    1. Haha, there’s just something about that maneuver that is impossible to get right. I wish you luck in getting behind the wheel, after a while, it’s not that bad πŸ˜€

      1. I am counting on Adi to teach me his skills though he might end up bopping me on the head one too often!

  10. Those blossoming trees are beautiful!

    1. It was such a beautiful garden πŸ™‚

  11. Really great to catch up with you! I totally get what you mean about being a bit lax in interacting in the blogging community. Life is busy and you don’t always have time to go on and comment on posts as much as you want to! Xx

    1. Life can definitely get pretty busy, I’m definitely trying to make more time for blogging when I can πŸ™‚
