Bumpdate (19 Weeks In)

I do feel like this is the only recurring post I remember to write. But to be fair, it is on my mind a lot. Also, thanks to Rossy for the inspiration for the title!

How I’m Doing

I find myself staring a lot more at my tummy. Things are definitely happening. I feel similar to my last update post. Not sleeping too great, and being a little off balance. I am getting hungrier randomly though. In the middle of the night, I suddenly wake up really hungry. So now I keep snacks by the bed.

I’ve gone to a few pregnancy classes, as I don’t tend to motivate myself to do any exercise. The yoga classes have been really nice. I have followed some Youtube videos, but it’s nice to do it with the instructor in the room. I have slept better on the nights following the yoga class. I’ve also tried a pregnancy swimming class, which I loved. Being weightless and floating in water is a nice feeling. Also, the low impact aerobics was a lot of fun. I can jump and move around a lot easier in water than on land. That being said, coming out of the water and back onto land was kind of a disappointment.

How Baby Is Doing

Baby has now grown to the size of a mango. He or she is also starting to get some fat, so they’re getting bigger. I should be able to feel them more and more, and that has me the most excited. The past two weeks, I’ve felt a lot more ‘flutterings’. It’ll be interesting to compare these movements to bigger moves and kicks down the line.

That’s all for this update! I’m really excited for the 20 week ultrasound next week. Hopefully we’ll be able to find out the gender!

    1. Thanks Carina! Haha, I normally just eat whatever I first get my hands on. Usually crackers, I’m just so randomly hungry πŸ˜‚

Also did you know that you can feel the baby when they have hiccups later?? One of my coworkers told me that once and my mind was blown!

    1. Haha, we’ll be announcing the gender soon 😁
Ooh I have read about that actually! That sounds so weird lol. I’m already starting to feel baby quite a bit, but I have no idea what the movements are πŸ˜‚ they’re still quite random for now 😊

      1. I can’t wait!!!!!!! You’ll have to let me know if it is weird or not when the baby starts having hiccups haha!

  9. The little human being size of mango is growing, oh so cute. Congratulations one more time Angela, I wish you safe and easy pregnancy.

    1. Baby is definitely growing more and more 😊 thank you Azra!

  10. Yay for the title. I’m curious, are you taking weekly photos of your bump? I did that starting at like 14 weeks when I started to show, and it’s nice to see the bump growth too overtime. It still baffles me how much I grew in a few short months lol. You should totally do that!! It’d be nice to look back on.
Back to you though, yoga was my favorite exercise while pregnant. I wish I could have tried the swimming classes, that sounds so relaxing and good. Glad to know you’re both doing well!

    1. Haha, thanks for the title inspiration! I’m taking photos every two weeks probably. I honestly just keen forgetting. I get caught up in day to day life, and it keeps slipping my mind. These posts help remind me though!
Yoga is definitely a really nice way to exercise. I love doing the stretches. Swimming is also awesome! I always feel so much better floating around in the water πŸ˜€
      Thanks Rossy!

  11. I’m really glad you enjoyed the pregnancy swimming class 😊 it’s exciting that you’ve felt some ‘flutterings’ xx

    1. It’s definitely helping with all the random aches and pains haha πŸ™‚
